Ever since the lockdown began, stories of migrant workers have haunted the country. These stories of suffering and hardship have become the face of coronavirus disease in India's mega cities.
This pandemic has brought work to a standstill. The absence of basic amenities, the inability to feed their children and more over no spare money to purchase the most essential product of the time - Masks. Finally, the first train carrying these migrant workers left from Mumbai for Bihar.
1100 bihari migrant laborers collected at Priyadarshini Park at Napeansea Road, Mumbai were served Hot Khichdi Meals and then sent to Bandra Terminus by buses.
Ratna Nidhi, in partnership with DP's Kitchen has been serving these daily wage earners on a daily basis with Hot Nutrious Khichdi Packets. Now you too can get involved.
