Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust is working for the welfare of society since the last 25 years. We have various welfare programs like Garment Project, Food for Education Programme, Mobility project, Book Donation project, Vocational Training project etc.
To give an underprivileged person a pair of clothes is as good as dressing him with self-respect. With this objective we distribute usable clothes and garments to the poorest of the poor children, women and men of all ages across India. In order to reach out to more poor and needy people, we distribute these garments through a network of various institutions. They in turn distribute the garments to individual beneficiaries.
Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust accepts a range of clothing, including shirts, pants, saris, kurtas, and warm attire. Both adult and children’s garments are appreciated, provided they’re clean and in good condition. Clothes Distribution efforts in India often focus on underprivileged communities, so ensuring usability is crucial. Donors help reduce textile waste while supporting individuals who lack adequate resources for everyday wear and protection.
Primary beneficiaries include individuals in low-income areas, homeless communities, disaster-affected regions, and rural populations lacking access to affordable garments. Garment Distribution programs in India aim to provide clothing essentials that protect against weather, maintain dignity, and support daily activities. By reaching vulnerable groups, these initiatives help people concentrate on other necessities, like education or healthcare, rather than worrying about basic attire.
Yes. Most of our collection drives accept new clothing or gently used garments that remain clean, intact, and functional. Donors should wash items beforehand, ensuring they’re free from stains or tears. This standard helps maintain recipient dignity and reduces sorting efforts. Whether you donate brand-new clothes or pre-loved attire, your contribution strengthens clothes distribution efforts and extends the lifespan of useful items.
Certainly. Children’s and infants’ clothes are often in high demand, especially among families facing economic hardships or living in emergency shelters. Ensuring items are in good condition, freshly laundered, and appropriately sized is crucial. By contributing these garments, you address immediate needs and promote child well-being. Ultimately, your donation supports families, helping them allocate limited resources to other critical expenses.
At Ratna Nidhi, we truly appreciate your effort to donate clothes, and packing them properly really helps us with smooth distribution. We recommend that you wash and fold the clothes neatly before packing. Please use clean, sturdy bags or boxes that are easy to carry. It’s helpful if you group similar items together—like separating children's clothes from adult wear—and label the bags or boxes accordingly. Avoid overstuffing so the clothes remain in good condition during transport. If you’re unsure about our specific packing preferences, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to guide you!
