Libraries on the wall will become a reality — more than one lakh students will benefit, and this will be an innovative initiative in schools. Gadchiroli, Bureau: To develop a love of reading among students, instill national values, and encourage curiosity, the Maharashtra Government is launching a unique initiative.
Under the vision of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, inspired by this resolution, Gadchiroli district will start the 'Library on Wall' project in one thousand schools, making available over 50 types of books for free through the social initiative of Ratnanidhi Trust.
Nearly one lakh students will benefit from this, developing an interest in reading and a love of books. These wall libraries will feature stories on science, space research, history, life values, leadership, folk tales, brave soldiers, freedom fighters, and more than 50 topics, providing quality books to children aged 5 to 14.
The initiative aims to foster joy and ease in reading among children and will be rolled out in schools in tribal and remote areas of the district, benefiting students for years to come.
Under the vision of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the initiative of setting up wall libraries in schools in the district is being realized. To develop a love of reading among students and instill national spirit and curiosity, the state government has implemented various initiatives.
As part of this, inspired by the vision of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, an inspiring and knowledge-giving initiative is being launched in the tribal and remote parts of Gadchiroli district to set up wall libraries in one thousand schools.
Through the social responsibility initiative of Ratnanidhi Trust, more than 50 types of books will be provided free of cost. Nearly one lakh students will benefit from this initiative.
The ‘Sapno Ka Pitara’ are small libraries to be provided by this trust. In remote areas, efforts are being made to cultivate a habit of reading among students in schools. In these libraries, books on science and space research, amazing stories, life values, leadership, biographies of brave soldiers, ancient stories, poetry, and various topics will be included.
This will make reading enjoyable and easy for children. Through this medium, students’ curiosity and confidence will grow, creating an educational environment and transforming schools into vibrant places. As a result, a new generation will develop a habit of reading.
Therefore, Ratnanidhi Trust’s initiative is a unique step in the history of children’s reading in India. Under this, wall libraries will be started in one thousand schools in the district.
With the cooperation of Gadchiroli Collector Abhishek Pandey, preparations for setting up these libraries in schools are underway. In the next six months, this project will be launched in 1000 schools. District administration is determined to make this effort a success.
