Computers donated by Ratna Nidhi to set up computer lab

Computer center has been set up by Rotary Club of Palanpur city with 10 computers donated by Ratnanidhi Charitable Trust.

Hundreds of children will learn computer and internet skills now in Palanpur (Gujarat) at K M CHOKSI primary school.

Here is an acknowledgement letter of the same.

Thanks to the President and the members of Rotary Club of Palanpur city. This is our 4th project with this club and they do amazing work.

Ratanidhi's Vapi District Rath Yatra

Three (3) of our social workers are travelling from village to village, to cover the entire Vapi district in Gujarat making announcements via a loud speaker, creating awareness of our forthcoming mobility camp.

All local Aaganwadi workers, school teachers, village sarpanch and even elders are contacted in person, to educate them for the mobilIty camp where more than 800 disabled will be fitted with Jaipur foot, polio callipers and prosthetic hands, free of cost.

Wheelchairs donated with the help of Rotary Club of Bombay Metropolitan

12 Wheelchairs were donated to physically challenged people on 10th December at Mobility Centre of Ratnanidhi.

Thanks to Rotary Club of Bombay Metropolitan & thanks to Rotarian President Ms Mangala Desai & Past President Rajen Mehta.

54 Mobility applianced donated with the help of Mumbai Downtown Sealand

Ratna Nidhi, in association with the Rotary Club of Mumbai Downtown Sealand, organized a camp for differently abled people at Colaba. Through this camp we identified beneficiaries with movement disabilities and provided them with free prosthetic limbs.

The following aids were donated:

Calipers 40

Jaipur foot 3

Crutches 6

Wheelchair 5

Total aids 54

The camp witnessed beneficiaries entering the camp, limping on their feet but walking out with dignity and independence. The beneficiaries were mobilized from poor slum communities in Colaba.

VISION 10000 EYE CAMP 8

In the eighth camp of Vision 10000, Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust in association with Essilor Vision Foundation & Titan Eye Plus organized a FREE Eye Camp to screen 267 BMC workers of the conservation department. The camp was conducted on the 19th and 20th of November 2018 at the BMC office in D Ward. The camp was inaugurated by Mrs. Manjuben Lodha, Philanthropist in the presence of Shri Vishvas Mote, Assistant Municipal Commissioner, D Ward, Mumbai Municipal Corporation.

At the camp, requisite measurements of the students's eyes and screening for cataract were done by an optometrist from Titan Eye Plus.

Fine quality lenses, provided by Essilor Vision Foundation, will be fitted into spectacles and the ready spectacles will be distributed for free to all the BMC workers prescribed by the optometrist within 4 weeks of the screening camp. The BMC workers will also be provided with FREE cataract surgery by Vision Foundation of India, Babulnath.

Ratna Nidhi Placements

Three of our disabled beneficiaries who have been fitted with Jaipur foot/Calipers have been successfully placed with Amazon India as Delivery Associates. Kailash Sarkar, Mohammad Ansari and Sunil Yedre have been placed at Amazon with a monthly salary of Rs.15,000.

Beginning this Diwali, we launch our flagship program - Ratna Nidhi Placements. The project aims to facilitate skill training and job placement for people with physical disabilities.

Stepping up our efforts from physically rehabilitating disabled people to empowering them with financial independence, our journey continues to create an inclusive world for under served communities.
