TOYS 4 FUN: The Concept

The purpose of TOYS 4 FUN is to enhance the “Recreation and Fun time experiences of our young children. The Toy improves the cognitive and motor skills of the children. They learn to focus, to think, to imagine and to interact. Eventually this gives a big push to their academic capability.

All these do not happen on its own. The teachers, the parents and care giver need to hold the toys in their own hands, play with the toys themselves and learn the intricate process of handing the toys, and understand the likely outcome.

This is not easy. In order to get the best value of a toy, the responsible personnel must show the dedication to make the best use of the same till these toys fall apart.

It is with these views that the Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust initiated the TOYS 4 FUN Project.

The Mechanism of Execution:

Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust co-ordinates several “Giving” projects. To name a few, the Used recycled Garment donation , used stationery items, books , furniture, Computer, and house hold items projects, giving Eye glasses under Vision 10,000 Project and providing fit made to fit mobility devices to the Disabled persons and Hearing Impaired.

As a result, Ratna Nidhi has a huge list of Non Government Organizations (NGO’s) in Urban/ Rural/ Tribal areas at PAN India level, and occasionally at international level for the deprived community of developing nations.

It is therefore, not difficult to reach out this large Bank of NGO list and add one more vertical of Toys to add to the comprehensive service at a “minimum cost and maximum impact”

Project Associates:

It is the large public support that forms the backbone of all “Giving” projects. Toys 4 Fun Project is no exception. Ratna Nidhi is able to collect “used but in good condition” in house Board Games, Puzzles of all kinds and of different materials, Lego sets, Nursery and KG class toys, soft toys, out-door sports equipments, etc for all ages.

These are recycled, repaired, assembled and packed for redistribution to the schools engaged with mostly under privileged children.

Donations from 50 on line and physical delivery at Ratna Nidhi office made it possible to reach out 16 schools. A wonderful ratio.
